A visit here after football in Bognor during early May bank holiday.
Our first visit here and I must say I’m very impressed. Being a Fullers pub I assumed the beer quality would be good and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. I have a couple of pints of Spring Sprinter and they were very well kept.
The pub occupies a large plot and has seating to the front as well as an attractive garden to the side and rear. Inside are 2 bars with the larger one being the nearest door if you enter from the Barnham end of the road. Low beams and plenty of wooden furniture and hops are in abundance.
The majority of punters were in the main bar area which is exactly where we positioned ourselves and chatted to the friendly bar manager and landlord. Stayed for 2 pints after a long day where our football team lost a final, will defiantly visit again the next time we play down this way.
The Murrell is an old pub in a semi rural location but just under 5 minutes walk from Barnham station which is on the direct line from London to the South coast, so is very easily reached should you fancy a day out.

I paid an impromptu visit to the Murrel Arms on a recent Saturday evening after Southern Fail had cancelled yet another of my scheduled trains. My overriding memory was the amount of curios that covered every available spot of the walls and ceilings. During my visit there was some background music playing for the 15 – 20 locals, two of whom were playing darts. One of the four hand pumps was unused leaving Fuller’s HSB, Pride and Summer Ale as the cask options. A standard keg range was also available alongside Amstel. Out the back is a bamboo hut smoking shelter and a lawn that stretched back into the night.
I found the service to be very friendly and I would have no problem returning here for another pint.

Wish the new landlords all the best. 2 roomed pub with an eclectic collection of knick-knacks and curios including a ring the bull game. 4 fuller's beers and a guest which was arkells on my visit. The pub was advertising music,quiz nights and has a dartboard. Food served and the pub is dog friendly. A short walk from the train station and the bus pick up for fontwell racecourse.
