This is a lovely looking Georgian styled building, with patio and beer garden. It looks like a former farm that has become a pub. It is in plain brick with three storys of sash windows, a dog-tooth cornice and central neo-classic entrance. It has several outbuildings. The interior has all been knocked through to create an L-shaped room, with a side area. Make no mistake, this is in no-way now a pub - the only bar area being a few seats at the serving bar, when i was offered a chance to perch my backside. Food tables populate, with a strange decor that has wallpaper of wooden packing boxes, chopped wood and bits of trees - as well as a bit of white and a white and white beam ceiling. There is a wine display and a feature seems to be made of the coffee machine, with various roasted bean packets. Arty. There is a fireplace feature - not sure if it actually could burn anything! The service was OK, the clientele mature and all dining - i felt so alone. Ther was no TV, or music. Beer; usual tap stuff with Peroni and Enville and Black Sheep on handpull. The Enville was fine. Simply not a place to visit for a drink - unless you go outside. I can't comment on the food. Not a place i would return to - the last of my Great Wolverhampton Tour - it finished with a whimper.
