Pretty standard food pub which is quite large. Bus stops right outside if you feel the urge to visit. The pub now opens at 11 (not 10) according to the signs on the door. Only Doom Bar on the beer front and it was only OK. Excellent friendly service but let down by the poor beer choice. Not for me this one.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pilot

Slightly odd to find this Sizzling pub somewhat hidden away in a housing estate rather than on a main road, but perhaps less food-led than many of the chain's other outlets. And while it also has separate diners and bar entrances, these lead to the same places anyway... Nothing very remarkable otherwise, with the usual semi-modern furniture and decor plus a few patio tables out front. Pool table, dartboard and a few sports TVs by the bar. Just Doom Bar and Tribute (only £2.75 despite the £3.20 price tag displayed).

This is a detached post WWII pub, built to compliment the new estate of that time. It is now a part of the Sizzling chain and has patio area. The pub, originally in undressed brick now has a white painted frontage; it is L-shaped with a side bow window. It has an interesting eagle roundel above one entrance. As The Monster says below, the pub has two areas. The main dining area is a large open plan U-shape around the serving bar and is in a mix of plain wall colours; green, red, brown, grey, yellow and dark red. In its one building fits all way, vases, kid's grabbing machines, sofas and bistro pictures are juxtaposed with old photos, beer adverts and a side area where pool and darts can be found (which was completely deserted). I didn't eat, so can't comment on the food. There are several TVs, showing silent news and sport at my visit and the charty background music was at a soft level. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of locals, both eating and just drinking. Beer; no real ale just the usual keg beers. I had a shandy. Nothing for the real ale fan, just for vase collectors.
