Well described in the previous reviews , i first drank in here in the early 80s when the toilets were the other end of the carpark .
Its a pleasant enough place these days very food led but the back bar welcomes drinkers , beer was a few nationals and a decent Enville Ale .

A detached pub and restaurant with a beer garden and kid's play area at the rear. The pub is a winged-corridor type, with the central body being flanked by two slightly protruding gable ends. The pub is in white, or light brick (it was dark!), with black sills and lintels around the Georgian looking windows.
The interior has a couple of rooms served by a central bar. The main L-shaped room is now the restaurant. It looked like it was in cream mainly, with some red, a striped carpet and a white ceiling. There was a brick fireplace and it had the expected tables and chairs, with old photos, prints and ornate mirrors on the walls. I didn't eat, so cant comment on the food. The bar is somewhat smaller, being a stright room on two levels seperated by an open former doorway with an impressive wood lintel. The room is in cream and red split wall, with patterned carpet and white ceiling; the lower part having a white and fake beam ceiling and wood floor, as there was a dart board here. There was a brick fireplace with a real fire blazing away and with the old photos and prints on the walls it felt homely. Interesting ephemera, from boots to a clock were dotted about. The seats were brown leather. The service was fine and the clientele busy and mixed - i couldn't see how many were eating. There was a TV, but not on and the background music was quiet.
Beer; usual tap stuff with Spitfire, Abbot and a decent Enville Ale on handpull.
A decent little bar room that was very busy but clearly separate from the restaurant room. I enjoyed my stop-off here and would be more than happy to visit again.
