The former Goalpost pub, this is a detached pub and eatery with a patio area (that has its own speakers for music to be loudly played. The pub is a Victorian Gothic build, once called Kettering Villas. It is in mainly undressed brick, with blue brick string courses and moulded stone around the windows. The interior is an open room, all the old rooms having been ripped out years ago. It looks a little tired, in white and red. There is a pool table and a dart board. The TV wasn't on and the music was general. Sport pictures are on the walls. They do basic Indian food range, but didnt eat so can't comment on that. The service was ok and a few regulars seemed to be in, that were friendly enough. Beer; no real ale, usual tap stuff with a pretty poor Guinness. My experience here was likely worse than that of a Wolves season ticket holder last season.

The sign showed Steve Bull turning in triumph after netting another goal. Great shame that there is no pictorial sign whatsoever at this pub now - should receive a yellow card at least!
