Large three storey pub , interior is one large room on several different levels , pretty busy on my thursday afternoon visit , mostly diners but several lads having a post work drink .
Service was good with a chatty barman , beer was usual keg taps and a couple of mainstream real ales , my Banks Bitter was OK .

This is a detached self-styled bar and restaurant, with a nice patio area and a kid's play area. The building itself has a nice cream rendered Victorian cottage at its heart - three storeys, with sash windows and a dog tooth cornice. There are modern low-level brick extensions at either side and at the back. The interior has an irregular open plan room, on difering levels. It is in white, crimson, brick and wood panel with a few fireplace and everywhere seemingly set-up for dining. I didn't eat, so can't comment on that, but they do an all-day 2 for 1 menu and the food seemed to look good! Classic sport pictures dominated the walls. There was a TV with general programmes on. The service was very good and the clientele consisted of a good mix of people, all seemingly dining - which is why i went outside. Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's Bitter, Navigation Golden and a decent Cotleigh Commando on handpull. Despite an over-riding foody feel, it had three real ales and despite not really feeling comfortable as just a drinker, it was worth popping into. One for the food really.
