Real Ale Ray left this review about Royal George

Pretty much a local's pub with some fairly old customers seemingly seated in their regular positions supping away. The interior consisted of a small front corner lounge and bar with a light oak bar counter along with light green painted walls, exposed ceiling beams and timber floors throughout.
There was a further bar area around the back and a side room full of junk.
The barmaid was friendly and welcoming, the beer line up was Holden's Golden Glow, HPA and Butty Bach all repeated across six pumps. I felt as though we stuck out like a sore thumb, so drank up quickly.

Aqualung . left this review about Royal George

This pub is situated directly opposite the Willenhall JDW but on my Thursday visit just after 11:00 it was doing a good trade. A picture at the rear of the pub reveals that this was once a Mitchell & Butler house but it had no external signage as it was being given a makeover. It was clearly once at least three different rooms but is now all knocked into one. The area as you enter from the street is the main public bar area. There is another area to the right of this with a bar billiard table and on my visit a couple of locals playing dominoes. The larger area to the rear is the lounge that also has a wheelchair friendly entrance from the patio that looks like it was originally a car park. The toilets are also to the rear here and have a door with a window that says Smoke Room Gentlemen Only.
Although there are four hand pumps in the public and lounge bar areas on they were identical with one unused, Old Rosie cider turned, Holden's Golden Glow and Wye Valley Butty Bach. The Golden Glow (£2.80) was first class.
Despite the limited beer choice I liked this place and would return. It gets a strong 7.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal George

Corner pub, which is larger than it first appears because it comprises a 'L'-shaped layout that isn't immediately obvious. The main bar at the front has a compact servery diagonally opposite the entrance and little furniture, but the opened-out room beyond is more of a lounge; both decorated with a variety of pictures on all walls. The second bar at the back is perhaps a touch larger but rather plainer in appearance. Despite the Irish-style writing on the façade, real ale is very much part of the offer, with Old Speckled Hen, Butty Bach, Backyard Bitter (£2.80) and Old Rosie cider available from a total of eight handpumps on the two counters.
