Former Banks's house by the look of the exterior signage, although the branding has now been removed. Once inside, you find a basic single-bar layout with a further (darkened) seating area beyond. No real ale, of course, but at least the keg Mild only set me back £2.30. Just a few locals in, but all shouting in competition with the deafening early evening music (with the Sound of Silence unironically blasting out during my brief stay). Live music and karaoke also advertised.

This is a detached 1950s Banks's pub with a patio area. The building is in cream brick, with the striking features of having a large front facing gable and a Dutch roof, with dormer windows. The interior has one open room now (a bit bar/loungey on both sides), that was formerly two rooms. The decor fro both is cream walls, with a white ceiling. One side has a wood floor, dart board, blue seating, tiled fireplace and a TV (had a soap on), while the other side has a pool table, TV (not on), fireplace, brown carpet and green seats. There are a few eclectic ornaments and a few prints. The service was fine and a few locals were in. There was no music. Beer; no real ale (2 unused pulls) and general tap stuff with a decent enough Banks's MILD. A solid little locals pub, sadly just lacks real ale for my personal taste. Good to see it open again.
