An excellent listed exterior but sadly a bit weird and a little bit spoiled inside. A single downstairs room with a neatly carved counter in the rear centre, seating areas to both sides at tables, nice cast iron based ones. A couple of T-bars with beers out of the national stable are flanked by two unused hand pumps. Fortunately Banks’s MILD albeit in keg form was available otherwise another half of Carling beckoned, it was at lager temperature however. Dark brown wood everywhere although the main feature is a spiral staircase to a mezzanine floor. The space above the counter is supplied with disco light apparatus. A beer garden is advertised but I didn’t visit. Daft opening hours of 11-18:00 Mon-Thur; 11-midnight on Friday 11-01:00 Saturdays and 12-16:00 on Sunday.

Small pub with an impressive frontage. I have used it a few times as it is just round the corner from the train station. No bitter on so only Banks's mild when I last called - which was fine. OK to pop in for one if waiting for the train.

A one roomed pub but with an upper balcony reached via a spiral staircase. Whether there are other parts to this pub I didn't notice. 4 handpumps on the bar but only But on Bitter and Mild on. Some gay literature dotted around so it may or not be a gay bar.
