The former Reddicap Tavern is now a Pesto Italian restaurant, and although not obviously advertised as a bar it still performs that function as well. Despite being deep in suburbia, it's a substantial roadhouse-style building, with various dining areas on each side of the central servery where those just looking for a drink are also welcome. Smart, semi-modern furniture and decor throughout, and there is some outside seating for the better weather too. Unsurprisingly, no real ale is offered, but the keg options include a couple of less usual Theakston beers: a Pale Ale and the Barista Stout (£3.30).

Soup Dragon left this review about Reddicap Tavern

A detached 1930s style undressed brick pub, with dormer windows and a patio area.

The interior is technically open plan, but has three areas forming a U-shape around the bar that faces you on entry. The area to the right has a pool table and some sofas and comfy chairs. The area to the left is like a lounge, with a dart board. The central bar area has a dj booth area and TVs with the sport on. The decor throughout is red and cream, with a wood floor. There is a mix of old photos and arty pictures on the walls. The service was good, the clientele a mix of locals and the music, supplied by a DJ was 80s, but loud.

Beer; tap stuff, no real ale - with Theakston's MILD and Bitter, with Dark Smooth. The MILD was fine.

A proper pub, rather than the food factories you mainly see around Sutton. Happy to have stopped off and would go in again.
