Update: Now the Romantica Italian restaurant
A detached but neat looking cream rendered bar/pub, with beige paintwork on the main Mere green island, with a beer patio at the back
The interior is a U-shape around the bar that faces you on entry. The decor is a salmon and cream mix, with a wood floor. There are a few arty pictures on the walls, along with a fireplace that looks like a microwave stuck in one wall, as well as twigs and some greenery. There is a DJ area. There were TV's with Sky Sports News on general background music at a decent level. The service was fine, the clientele is younger based, but not chav types, it has a dress code and no U-21s. The wierd high blue decor stools also deserve a mention.
Beer; no real ale, no MILD, in fact a pretty basic choice - amazing that they could fill so large a bar reallt, by spacing out the taps with Palladian symmetry. I had coke.
One for the younger crowd, i feel and i hope someone under 30 reviews this place - the beer choice would prevent me from returning
