Hidden away in a small village, this pub nevertheless has a wider reputation for both food and beer. The main part of the counter is in the lounge (now really the dining room), but with a small serving area in the plainer, more traditional bar (with another dining space beyond). Three Enville beers - Ale (£4.50), Ginger and Gotham Stout - and a pair from Wye Valley - HPA and Butty Bach - being served from the two banks of three handpumps.

Village pub with a public bar and a dining room. Arriving from the car park into the dining room, we were immediately asked if we had booked a table. I always find this to be a strange way to greet customers, especially since a booking clearly wasn't required if we'd wanted to eat, as there were no other customers eating. When we said that we were just there for a drink, we were asked to move through to the bar.

Strangely, all of the handpulls can be found in the dining area. So when directed to the bar, you can't see what ales are on. Regular beers are Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach & Enville Ale & Ginger. A 5th guest beer was Enville Gothic Stout.

Quite a few locals were in the bar and whilst we were there, a young couple arrived into the dining room and ordered food.

This is another pub with a large car park and a large garden area with a children's play area to the rear of the pub.

Very good pub with an enormous beer garden including an outside bar and large play area for the kids. We didn't eat but the menu looked to be good and it was popular with diners on our Sunday lunchtime visit.
Four ales on - Enville ale and Ginger, Butty Bach and Pale Brummie from the Birmingham Brewing Company. I went for the Pale Brummie and it was excellent.
Well worth a visit.
