Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The New Navigation

Quite a decent-looking brewer's Tudor pub right by the Titford Canal towpath, and the three-room interior also retains some interest (especially in the one with dark wood-panelling now occupied by the pool table). Otherwise, there is now a mix of semi-modern furniture and semi-traditional decor. There is also a gated rear patio area that might just help stop some unruly children from drowning... Disappointingly, none of the three handpumps was dispensing real ale (although one had a reversed Doom Bar clip), so it was a quick John Smith's (£2.90) before moving swiftly onwards. NB - It's now just The Navigation on the exterior signage, but both versions of the name are still used inside.

A detached 1930s looking pub in undressed brick and beam and white render, with a canalside view. Currently up for sale.

The interior was open plan, but the front area is a bar and the rear area, more a lounge. The decor is white and undressed brick, with some beams - a little 80s in appearance. There were nice brick fireplaces in both rooms and some wood panelling in the bar, near the pool table. The lounge serving bar area was done in green and red, with flowers pained on, to make it look like a canal barge, with lots of canal pictures on the walls and lots of canal pots and jugs as ephemera. The ceiling in the lounge was coffee with a roundel. The TV wasn't on in this room, but was in the bar. The service was really friendly, even after pouring 4 pints of MILD away as it was off. The clientele was small and local, the music in the bar a bit loud, but acceptable.

Beer; no real ale, the MILD was off, so had a shandy (the real ale sign is still up).

A nice looking pub from the outside and the lounge was tidy - shame there was no real ale

Bucking Fastard left this review about The New Navigation

Despite the sign hanging outside, there was no real ale available. However the welcome was friendly from the landlord and barman who are trying to make this pub a real community boozer.Sunny back bar by the canal towpath and generous free grub on Sunday lunchtime was much appreciated. If trade picks up real ale may make an appearance ,until then clean pipes mean Guinness and Stella are OK to sup. .Bogs could do with a good clean.
