Soup Dragon left this review about Woodside Inn

A detached pub with patio area, which stands at the side of the now defunct Pensnett canal. The pub is a 1930s rebuild. It was called the Old Bush, the Bush after its rebuild and only more recently, the Woodside. The pub is symmetrical, although the two former central entrances are now blocked. It is mainly in white painted brick, with some red. The interior had one large open plan room that I saw - the old rooms having being ripped out. he room is mainly in cream and chocolate, with a white ceiling and carpet floor. The room has a fireplace feature with a burner fire. There wasn't much in the way of pictures or ephemera, so it looked a little bland. There are three dart boards, although two can't be used it seemed and there are TVs, which had the sport on. There was no music. The service was functional and the place busy enough with Wolves, Baggies and Villa fans celebrating their respective wins. Beer; no real ale, just keg stuff without a MILD. I had Thatcher's cider. A run-of-the-mill pub, with nothing for the real ale fan. One for the locals.
