Fairly small Marston's pub situated opposite the access road to Frodsham station.

The landlord was on the phone with what appeared to be a personal call when we arrived. He continued his conversation without even acknowledging our presence.

Jennings Cumberland was the solitary real ale. Although as we were leaving, a second ale was being poured through which appeared to be Hobgoblin Ruby or Gold.

The pub itself is a reasonably cosy affair and was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. Many were clearly getting ready for a long Saturday evening of drinking. A football scores programme was showing on the TV in the corner.

Another fairly unremarkable place that should be bypassed in favour of the Helter Skelter.

This place isn't too bad and worth popping in for before your train. 3 changing real ales. Manager's a bit of a miserable sod (if indeed it was the manager). But then again I don't go in to prattle on to him.

Called in for a beer after the Frodsham beer festival, sadly they didn't have any as it's keg only, so I ended up with a pint of Guinness. Good looking pub on the outside with half timbered frontage. A somewhat faded carpet on the floor covering an uneven flagged floor I guess. OK for a quick beer, but the Helter Skelter is just up the road, so I won't be visiting again.
