Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tenth Lock
As the name suggests, this canal-side Marston's pub is located beside a flight of locks (although it faces the road with no real view of the water). The staple-shaped interior has been opened out, although the branches at each end are slightly raised by varying degrees. The refurbished interior is rather bland, but there are also a few outdoor tables at the front and a split-level patio garden at the back. Food is offered from a standard menu, but £1.50 cobs can also be bought from behind the bar. Just Hobgoblin Gold available from the pair of handpumps, but on a Tuesday this cost £2.50 rather than the usual £3.40.

Largish pub right next to the canal (as the name suggests!). It is more aimed at the younger market but does do a real ale. Worth stopping for one.

A large detached, slightly strange shaped, pub, in light render, with beer patio.
The interior is open plan, with various coloured walls, mainly red and green, with wood panel, as well as a snazzy carpet - it looks like a foody gastropub kind of place, despite being a Banks's pub. There was a nice large wood bar, with tiled fireplace, and there was pool, darts and Sky TV. Decoration was suplied by a few sporty pictures, 1966 and all that. Service was fine, clientele small.
Beer; tap stuff, with a decent enough Banks's MILD and there was Brakspear Bitter on handpull.
Fine for a game of darts, just not really worth the trouble if wanting real ale or a traditional kind of place. I dont think i would bother again.
