Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Weoley Castle

Large 1930s suburban roadhouse-style pub that has been partly opened-out inside to leave a 'L'-shaped layout with a small stage in the angle and a games area with a pool table and dartboard at the far end. There is also a second, separate bar or lounge on the other side of the central servery, but that was not in use when I stopped by. A small patio can also be found at the front by the car park. No real, unfortunately, so made do with the Worthington's (£2.90) in preference to the John Smith's.

A detached 1930s estate pub, with patio area. The pub isnt a typical 1930s mock-Tudor styled pub, but a basic, bland brick build built at the fork of a road. The odd dormer and bow window, along with the covered entrance give some character. It once had a bowling green. The interior has a single dog-leg shaped room - all open plan. The decor is white and wood panel. There is a pool table at one end and a very small stage area. There are several TVs, onewas on at my visit showing snooker. The music was via a jukebox - a bit loud, but the bloke feeding it had good taste! A few artistic photos are on the walls, along with a drawing of the Dad's Army cast - class. There is a small tiled fireplace at one end. The service was fine and a few locals seemed to be in. Beer; no real ale, just the usual keg drinks with M&B MILD. I had a shandy, which was fine enough. A decent enough locals pub, just nothing for the real ale fan.

I don't know where the last reviewer got his ideas about "The Cas Bah" from but this is a decent estate pub. No violence, lots of clubs (donioes and angling being the biggest), blues, baggies and villa supporters mix with no baiting. disco friday and sunday. saturday night is karaoke for connoisseurs .. easily the best in birmingham and that icludes the crown on station road. Frank and Joan the owners always try to ensure the punters get what they want as far as grub and entertainment.
