Alan Winfield left this review about The Swan

The Swan is a decent looking pub that is situated in the middle of Alvechurch.
Once inside the pub has two separate rooms, there is a oblong shaped lounge to the left which is carpeted and has comfy bench seating and chairs and one tall table and stools in the middle of the room.
There is a separate bar room to the rear which is smaller and has a pool table in the middle of it.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wye Valley HPA,which was a very nice drink, the other real ales were Wye Valley Butty Bach and St Austell Tribute.
I thought this was a very pleasant pub to have a drink in.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan

Decent-looking village inn retaining its two-bar layout. The public bar to the right of the entrance steps is mainly occupied by the pool table so most of the customers were in the larger left-hand side lounge. This also has another small plain room at the back, and all parts seem to have had a modest refurbishment in recent times. Still, quite basic overall, with decor limited to a few B&W local history photographs and no food offer visible. Three handpumps on the main counter, dispensing Tribute and two Wye Valley ales: HPA (£3.50) and Butty Bach.

I called in last night, only a quick stop, a pleasant enough place. I would be happy to call in again.
