a detached Victorian former private residence, now a pub/eatery, a part of the Sizzling chain, in pink and white painted brickwork, with patio area.
The place has two rooms, the bar and lounge. The lounge is tidy enough and is in white. Unlike some other Sizzlers, it is on one level and there is no arty vases etc. I didn't eat, so cant comment on the food. The bar is pretty scruffy to be fair - the taps dont even work. It is also in white and has old photos of the area on the walls. There is a pool table and dart board, a TV with Sky Sports News on and footy badges of the local teams above the serving bar. Some sport trophies are dotted about too. The service was fine, the clientele mixed diners, and lads off the building site in the bar. The background music was general and at an ok level.
Beer; tap stuff with a decent enough Banks's MILD. On handpull there was Spekky Hen, though i dont think this was on.
Stick to the dining room really, but i wouldn't really bother going again, even to eat.

went to this pub tue 27th july 2010. with 2 friends for lunch, only 8 people in lounge 3 tables in total ordered food, we had to wait 40mins for food to come, when it arrived the fish i had ordered came out burned, scampi someone else had was well over done, we did not have time to have it reordered as we had an appointment to go to. We were very dissapointed to say the least. We have eaten at the White house Bosty lane Aldridge, could not fault that place. So we will not be going to the Hampstead again, very poor.
