I too had high expectations of a visit to the Two towers Brewery tap pub but sadly it disappointed. Friendly welcome from the bar tender ( a lot more friendly than the one from the pub cat as mentioned below) but this multi roomed pub has a bit of an unfinished feel to it, which some funky artwork on the walls couldn't really overcome and I was one of the ones that wanted to try one of the brewery beer and went for the Two Towers Porter, which unfortunately wasn't in great condition.

A street corner pub and tap for the Two Towers brewery, the interior is larger than it appears from the outside. The L shaped tap room is entered from the apex front door, and is split by some support columns to the right, while to the left is bench seating. There is a lower pool room ,then quite a large pub garden. The pub has a boozer atmosphere and is quite basic but a lot of artwork hangs from the tap room walls ,some for sale. The pub cat had left a large deposit on a front door mat which was shamefully not cleared away during the time I visited the pub.
Just three handpumps operational on my trip serving Two Towers Porter (other crawlers noted poor condition),Camberlain Pale (NBSS 2) with a guest Milestone Shine On.Not really enough to justify a return visit, sadly.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Gunmakers Arms
I don't usually keep an old review, but I will make an exception for this one dating from January 2015.

Quite an inviting-looking exterior, with the white paintwork making the building stand out from some distance. However, when I walked into the lounge, I found a somewhat icy atmosphere with the stroppy Eastern European barman arguing with the other two customers about who had come from the poorest background. Spotting the two handpumps offering Monty's Mischief and Ding Dong, I ordered a pint of latter (£2.80) but it was made quite clear that this request was a nuisance so I quickly retreated with my pint into the side seating area while the row in the bar brewed-up into a full-blown shouting match which seemed to involve the Irish potato famine and Soviet-era oppression in Slovakia. Things calmed down when the other two punters left to get a taxi, but this obviously didn't work out since they came back in - having a go at each other this time about whose fault that was. Meanwhile, the barman asked me "do you really like that stuff?", and when I said that it was fine (which it was) he said "ha!" in such a way as to suggest that I was blithering idiot who was clearly oblivious to the wonders of the Czech lager also on tap. Finished up swiftly, and exited through the smaller and plainer public bar wondering whether this novel approach to customer service had much of a future...

On a calmer October 2021 visit, I found a pair of Two Towers beers - Chamberlain pale ale (£1.70, half) and Jewellery porter - plus Shine On from Milestone as a guest available from a total of seven handpumps. Even though it took a long time to get served, rating still increased by two points.
