This is a detached 60s syle pub, with patio areas. It takes its name from the farm that stood on the site upto the 1940s, it seems. The pub is typical 60s, being in brick, with white boarding, and is a larger 'house' with low-level extensions - although the bow window gives something to break the eye with. The interior has a couple of rooms. The lounge is in yellow, green, dark red, wood panel and patterned paper, with carpet and a load of TVs. There is a jukebox, although no music was playing. Old local photos are on the walls and some of penny farthings, too (although the pub is named after a small - farthing - field, but i dont suppose you want pictures of grass on the walls!). There is a small fireplace. The bar has a dart board, several TVs again - all showing sport - and a few trophies in one corner. There are red bench seats and some high tables and chairs. They do food here, as its a Stonegate pub, but i didn't try it. The service was fine and the clientele mixed, but more to the mature. The bar had mixed sport photographs on the walls and is in grey and patterned paper, mainly. Beer; usual tap stuff with M&B MILD, along with GK IPA on handpull. I was thirsty, so just had shandy. A pub i remember for their footy teams in the 80s. Happy enough to have popped in, it seemed friendly enough. I would visit again, even though its beer choice isnt the most exciting for my personal taste.
