I live in Kidsgrove and own a static home near Knutsford and pass the Salamanca regularly. It is currently closed and boarded up and I am not sure what the plans are for it. I will keep you all in touch with progress.
I went past yesterday (12.07.05) and there was a digger digging a hole in the car park and a trench along front edge of car park.
Update 5.08.05 - It looks as though they are walling the car park in, probably with a view to re-opening soon.
Update 23.04.09 - The new car park wall has been pulled down and the "car park" cleared. The building is up for sale but I cannot see it opening as a pub again.
