A fairly desperate two-room boozer in a poor state of repair next to the train station. Someone had tried to do one of the walls but had made an appalling job of it with paint spattered everywhere. Darts in front room on a board that had seen better days but it was good enough to loose off a few arrows. Just Doom Bar on which was surprisingly not awful. Needs money, imagination and a firm hand - what a waste of a prime spot.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Great Western Arms
Quite an impressive, if neglected, landmark building on the approach to Warwick railway station. Refurbished in a very plain way inside at some stage, and now rather tatty, but retains a traditional two-bar layout. Plain beer garden to rear. Owned by Admiral, and just Doom Bar available on handpump - slightly hazy, but the barman mentioned in advance a problem in the cellar which resulted in the barrels having to be moved around at short notice, and the beer tasted fine anyway.

An interesting pub from the outside, but once through the doors a big disappointment. The bland interior consisted of white walls and white woodwork. The bar counter is littered with tall chrome keg fonts. Two ales on, Deuchars and Sharps Doombar.
