On the ring road - no entry from the front door - access is from the rear car park.

Looks like it is a Everards House - no signage on the front - it simply says "real food and beer" but it was just Everards on Cask.

The Tiger was in fine condition.

Low clientele count on a Saturday afternoon

This is a detached Victorian pub, with a patio area, that once serviced the barss foundry behind. The pub has a low frontage to the road, but is two-storey as seen from the car park. It is in white render, with a splash ored and some black paintwork. The pub is owned by Everards, but currently the Tunnel Brewery Tap - although it appears that this arrangement will soon finish and it will return to Everards. The interior is a little irregular in shape. The bar, with its wood floor, is at the back. It is in yellow, with a brown ceiling and has a small tiled fireplace, mixed art, bench seating and general tables and chairs. Off this, is a side area, with a fireplace, mirrors and mixed art - with carpet and similar seating. At the front there is another area. In the same decor, it has a mix of booth seating and bench, with another fireplace and a TV (not on). There is also a mix of pictures and some bits of general ephemera. The music was general and quiet. The service was fine and the clientele mixed. The tea (for Mrs Soup) was pretty expensive. Beer; some of the usual taps with several hamdpulls - a few not on. I tried Tunnel's Stout (Dreamweaver), Portal and Pecheron Pale Ale. There was also Everard's Tiger, Milestone Oak and Wentworth WPA. I tried the Tunnel's and the Milestone - all were fine. A really nice visit, it seems a shame that the Tunnel Brewery are pulling out. Very much worth a visit.

A Project William pub acting as brewery tap for Tunnel Brewery. The interior has been lovingly refurbished ,to the right of the door is a real fireplace, leather upholstered seats, wooden tables in an L shaped space while to the left of the entrance is the side on bar and another section with a rank of high tabled booths, and some mixed wooden tables and chairs. All very traditional in feel, another real fireplace here as well.
There are 10 handpumps with ,on my trip, three from Tunnel namely Late Out,East India Pale Ale and Tradewinds (£2.80,decent) together with Battlefields Henry Tudor,Burton Bridge Festival,Victory Third Party and two from Everards in Tiger and Pumpkin Ale.A good selection and many Locales.I didnt sample the food, but noted that of an evening you may get Karaoke, live music or events such as a Haloween party.I was in on a quiet lunchtime,I can image a more lively atmosphere at night.
Another Project William winner and quite close to the Coventry Canal.I can see this being a regular stopping off place when next in the area,a neighbourhood which over the years has lost a lot of pubs.So good to see this place revived for the real ale drinker.
