Standard Ember Inn, tidy but standard. Beer quality is good though, but served in plastic glasses

The Green Man is situated at the bottom end of warwick road.
The pub is an Ember Inn so we were expecting a decent choice of real ales,we were correct about this.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar facing, the room is carpeted and the seating is normal tables and chairs plus some bench seating to the right.
There are two banks of five pumps and all had different beers on,i had a drink of Bragby Conwy beachcomber which went down very well,my brother had Purity UBU and said it was a very nice drink, the other beers were Bass,Pedigree,Camerons 150,Castle Rock Harvest Pale,Daleside Legover,Everards Sunchaser,Brakspear Bitter and St Austell Proper Job,i thought this was a very good choice of real ales.
The pub is quite smart inside and food is available, but none dining on our Saturday morning visit.
We quite liked this pub.

Nick Davies left this review about The Green Man

An Ember Inn so the usual M&B mid-market format, thus aimed at families easily pleased with dressed up food-service meals, though despite that quite a few people use the place as a pub. Steve describes it well below, and indeed the food quality remains unchanged, time they got a new microwave? Service was a little tetchy, possibly due to understaffing on a hot night, but the Brakspear's ordinary was in remarkably good nick; even more remarkable given the area was that the sparkler was unused. Other than that there's little to tempt the casual pubgoer given the far superior options further up the town
