Blue Scrumpy left this review about Cumberland Arms
Narrow fronted pub on Front Street which stretches a fair way back. Apart from a couple of old fellas drinking in the front section, customers were primarily diners.
I chose the house beer, which is Great North Eastern Breeches Buoy, which was probably the worst beer I tried all day. It may well have been past its best, but others were drinking it. So, maybe it was just the type of beer itself. Guests were Great North Eastern Keep The Faith & Hawkshead Lakeland Gold.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Cumberland Arms
A good traditional pub with a nautical theme. The pub consists of a front bar, followed by a narrow raised middle section with bar and a dining area to the rear. Received a good friendly welcome in the front bar on arrival. There were six ales chaulked up over the bar. The Goff Brewery Tournament went down very easily.
