Close to the Manors Metro and serves some crackin beers from Hadrian and Border. I must have been lucky as the locals we encountered were great fun and so was the barman. On our visit five ales and five ciders on handpump. I went for the Gun Dog Brewery Fox, H&B Grainger and H&B Newburn No 1, all were top class.

I was in this pub a few months ago just after refit with some friends and received a frosty reception from the locals. The real ales were good.

Newly reopened and refurbished pub owned by the same people who have The Boathouse in Wylam. Fairly modern in style now and L shaped. There's a pool table and quiz machine to the right in the "L" as you enter and a seating area with low comfy seating and stools to the left. A big screen TV dominates one end of the bar. 10 handpumps on the bar, 5 serving ale and 4 serving real cider plus a real perry. I had a pint of Blue Monkey Magic which was in good nick and the other half said that her Blue Monkey BG Sips was also excellent. It's a little bit out of the way is this place, but it makes a good double header with the New Bridge next door.
