This is one of Greene King's Flame Grill pubs, which means that it's had a modern makeover and is almost totally devoid of character. However, the service was friendly and the beer was in good condition. There were four hand pumps spread around the bar, with Abbot, Old Speckled Hen and IPA, plus a house cider. Not a bad pub at all, but not one that I would go out of my way to visit again.
