Spacious Fullers pub with an envious position facing Richmond Green which has been well described by other reviewers. Four Fullers Ales on for our visit with Pride, ESB, Oliver’s Island and the current seasonal which I can now not remember.
We did visit on a fine balmy evening which makes this one a good choice for Alfresco drinking and we parked ourselves on the pavement section outside. But during fine weather they will ask you if you intend taking drinks onto the Green itself as they will serve in plastic if you do.
Good pub with a good location.

A good sized and prominent looking pub, it occupies a plot right on the corner of Richmond Green. A porch at the corner entrance has etched glass bearing inscriptions for the saloon and public bar, so it was presumably at one time separate rooms but has now been opened out in to a single U-shaped room.

Décor wise it’s quite elegant, with quite a bit of dark wood panelling on the walls although some of this had been painted dark brown. A couple of plasma screens were showing a football match which jarred somewhat, but fortunately the volume was off so these were not too intrusive. The flooring was wooden boards and there were a few old black and white photos of the locale and the nearby river on the walls. The right had leg of the pub had a slightly less formal feel with cream wood panelling and a small fireplace. This was separated from the main area of the pub by some partitioning that included some stained glass. A smaller room at the rear was quiet cosy, but perhaps more intended for dining.

The menu offered a decent looking selection of pub grub dishes with options such as fish & chips, burger, pie, curry, sausage cassoulet etc., and these were mostly priced somewhere around £12/£13.

Beers on tap were all from the Fullers stable with their ESB, London Pride, Red Fox and Oliver’s Island. The solitary cider was Cornish Orchards.

A Fullers pub on a corner of Richmond Green, the wooden floor and wall panelling sets the scene for this traditional locals pub.Obviously once a two bar pub, now opened out, there are two entrance doors ,the glass of one etched with the legend "Public Bar" the other of course "Saloon Bar". Eight Handpumps in all dispensed Fullers offerings of Pride, ESB,Oliver's Island and Jack Frost along with a guest of Joules Special Reserve. There was some low level music in the background, not intrusive, a decent local crowd with maybe a smattering of out of towners, myself included and dogs were also welcomed but again unintrusive. A decent and comfortable pub.
