Malden man left this review about The Admiral
There are two separate rooms in this small pub, connected via a doorway and with the bar serving both areas. Both are bare boarded, the front room was the busier with a lively and earthy crowd in watching the Chelsea v Liverpool game on Saturday afternoon. The landlady was friendly and welcoming and looked like the no nonsense sort a pub like this probably needs. She had put up a good spread on the bar top, sausages, chips and various pickles which were clearly popular. The back room looked rather Spartan, dominated by a pool table and with a solitary customer and his dog, one wall had rather rough exposed brick and stone of no real aesthetic quality. The pub is rather tatty generally and could do with at least a lick of paint, the outside being not much better having a very faded pub sign.
Two handpumps in the front room, just the one on, clipped with London Pride, there is another pump in the back room but this was also unclipped.
I'd say this is one for the locals really, everyone seemed to know everyone else and there was much banter flying around. Not unwelcoming or hostile though, but not one to take your mum to.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Admiral
Even though I went in at a quiet time, you could have heard a pin drop in here. However, at least the place was clean and tidy, and the Pride was in good condition.
