Moby Duck left this review about The Prince of Wales

A quite large Fullers owned pub , out in the sticks accessed by a narrow single track country lane in an odd area where the pub despite its Guildford postcode , sits just inside Hampshire close to the West Sussex border with Surrey being around about a mile away. Originally intended to be a road house on the A3 there was a change of plan and the major road now runs past a couple of miles to the north leaving the pub stranded in a bit of a no mans land. It has obviously survived and by all accounts quite popular on a weekend with its very large beer garden, It was quiet though on my mid week late afternoon visit with one family sat outside and a couple of other chaps sat inside. There as been a little modernisation over the years, what lloked like once being two seperate two rooms now changed to two walk through areas, the smaller of which being the public bar. There is a wooden parquet floor, the half wood panelling is now painted in a not so traditional mix of Blue ,Yellow and Turquoise, to add to the intreset some of the lead lined windows contain some stained glass. There are five handpumps on the bar, three were offering ales, London Pride along with Dark Star Hop Head and I was pleased to see Dark Star APA which was in decent condition if not anywhere near the best I'd had. A nice pub and worth a look if your'e lost somewhere in the wilds of the three counties.
The larger of the two rooms was set more for dining.
