Malden man left this review about The White Hart

Out on its own away from Farncombe's small centre and railway station, this is a red brick inter-war pub with a pleasing symmetrical appearance if you ignore the add-on to the side. There are a few stained glass windows that look modern. It is effectively two rather large rooms, linked by a door sized opening near the entrance and the end of the bar. The same patterned blue carpet runs through. One side has a pair of pool tables plus a dartboard and TVs for sports, the other squarish room has loads of small tables in serried ranks a bit like a 'spoons. A couple of battered leather sofas by the rear corner challenge the order. The interior is unlikely to have much apart from the odd fireplace that is original and feels pretty bland.
Outside there is a large paved garden with substantial picnic tables, nice floral displays and a swingball game for the kids, shall I say young and not-so.
It might look better from outside than within however the beer and the service were excellent, three handpumps offered Doom Bar, Dark Star Hophead and Oakham Citra (£3.40). The barman said the Citra I ordered was the first of the day and duly pulled a couple through, then pulled a half and tasted it, said it wasn't up to scratch and pulled another off. He asked me if it was ok before taking payment, it was. You don't always get that these days and he was a young lad too, top marks.
Food served although I didn't spot any. Not a bad pub at all if unremarkable inside, the beer quality and service made up for any negatives.
