A food-led pub in a nice location on a green by the duckpond. Very much a stripped board feel to the interior, with a mixture of modern and traditional trimmings. The bar is to one side, a tabled room to the other and a split-level dining area is at the back, plus outside tables. Handpumps featured Surrey Hills Ranmore, Dorking Pilcrow Pale, Doom Bar and a Lilley's cider..

Nice white clapperboarded pub that has a big outside area to the side and front,Opposite a cricket green and next to a duck pond.Unusual shaped chestnut tree in the front.Split level interior that seemed Harvester like.Cask beers were Spit,Hob,Boon and a splendid pint of Surrey Hills -Ranmore.(the advertising outside claimed this was a veritable beer fest.I beg to differ)

The pub is well situated in an attractive location away from the town centre and overlooking a cricket green. Inside, there is a modern feel, with a bit of a leftfield decor style including dog patterned wall paper and tall fur backed stools with a dalmation pattern. The interior meanders about a bit and is split level, although there is decent wheelchair access via a ramp and level to the WC. A bit plastic and too modern for me inside with fake beams etc, part carpeted, part wood floored, all sorts of seating including thankfully the traditional type. I imagine the garden outside would be a splendid spot in the summer months overlooking the green, or at any time with more clement weather than the wind and rain on Monday.
A pretty reasonable ale choice pulls the overall experience up a tad, five pumps, only 3 in use but Bombardier, Doom Bar and a very good and warming new to me Dorking Ruby (£3.10, 5.2%).
I found the interior a bit plastic and sterile but I'd certainly return for a summer pint sat outside if the beer is always as good.
