A basic boozer just down from the Red Bar. Interior is two rooms knocked through a bit, with a pool area to the right, occupied by some well-oiled if ostensibly friendly punters. Fairly drab and oppressive décor and a distinct musty smell in the air. Loud house music the order of the day which isn’t exactly going to get the masses flocking in. Muted TV sports and some framed cigarette cards to keep you occupied. At the bar, two ales; London Pride and an unexpectedly impressive Courage Best which dragged the score up a notch. I missed the Tardis toilets mentioned below! Overall, not brilliant but I've been in worse. If the condition of the Courage is consistent, it might be worthy of a quick look. A 5.5 sort of place.

I found the White Hart to be a rather decent back street boozer, early lunchtime before midday so was rather quiet but still two or three locals in and is obviously a locals pub, originally a two bar pub with an external door for each but now the lack of internal doors means it is now basically one large room wrapping around a central bar.
Three hand pumps ,one unclipped, the remaining two offering Courage Best and Harveys Sussex Best Bitter respectively, The Sussex Best was very well kept at £3.60 a pint.
The gents as mentioned below is the Tardis ,built into a corner of the pub and of course is bigger upon entering . A really nice pub but given the lack of any adventurous beer I would not target this pub on a regular basis.Worth a look for the Tardis alone though, apart from the fact it is a decent boozer.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Quite a plain-looking building, apart from the unusual twin decorative gable ends. Each half of the building has its own door, and the pub retains a traditional two-bar layout (although the central wall has been partially opened up). Neither room is that large, with the main bar being dominated by the counter and the other - housing the pool table - is served by a little side servery. An unusual feature is the entrance to the gents toilet which was (or at least looks like) part of a former police telephone box. Old fashioned, basic furniture and decor. Two of four handpumps in operation, offering Bombardier and Courage Best (£3.10).
