Greene King pub with quite a quirky split level interior. Real ale and food served.

The Bull is an attractive looking old 18th Century Grade II listed Coaching Inn on the High Street in Newmarket. Unfortunately it’s yet another GK owned outlet in the town so for beer choice you are better off walking past to the ‘spoons Golden Lion virtually next door.
That’s a shame however as this is a tidy pub inside with a light modern interior with plenty of comfy settee seating and an extensive beer garden out back.
Like most Newmarket pubs there are several screens dotted about for the Sky Sports and ESPN , including one in the outside beer garden as well. To obviously compete with the ‘spoons next door it opens at 9.00AM for breakfast and there is a reasonable food menu available and plenty of adverts for spirits and alcopop offers. If you’re not interested in these, then it is the standard GK ale options only, but my pint of IPA was well served and kept.
