2 years ago this pub was in the 50 top cosy pubs rated by the suffolk magazine in the good pub guide and a thriving destination pub and in the top 50 places to eat in east anglia
the beer was good the food great ambience great then the tenants left after 6 years nurturing the pub caring about the pub and their customers
now the restuarant has been turned into a pool room because no one can provide the quality that was needed to keep the pub open and it is rapidly going down the tubes
it is just another future statistic
there has been a sucession of management companies and now has nothing to offer but a second rate overspill for the 5 bells in rattlesden
its a sad time for the residents and they deserve more than this
