Modernised pub with an opened-out interior extending into a newer single-storey section set perpendicular to the road. Fairly anonymous furniture and decor, but the emphasis is now on good-value 'pub grub' meals (rather than its previous carvery incarnation). However, there is also a pool table and dartboard at one end and a sizeable patio area by the car park. As an unbranded Marston's house, I found Banks's Amber (£2.65), Pedigree and Hobgoblin on offer from the five handpumps on different parts of the counter.

This place is a Taverner's Carvery. It is a large detached pub, with a house in white painted brick with a large low level extesion which really forms the majoroty of the pub/carvery. There is a beer garden area.

The interior is open plan, with a pub side and a carvery side. Decor was a mix of red and green wallpaper, with wood panel, which for a pubco place was fine. There was an eclectic mix of decorative pictures, from the arty to the nostalgic. The music was subdued and the service fine. The clientele was small but mixed.

Beer; tap stuff, with Banks's MILD, Bitter and Pedigree on handpull; the MILD was fine.

As pubco places go this was ok, the beer was decent enough as well. I wouldnt use it really just as a pub, if i went back i would look to eat as well.
