This pub has been well described by Alan below, though luckily there was no karaoke at the time of my visit. Most pubs with this sort of extension-on-the-front have been knocked through into one room, so this one is quite a surprise. After getting my half of Worthington Creamflow I made my way through the throng around the bar to find a space to sit down in one of the small rooms, which may be inside the original building, but it's hard to tell. I felt like I'd been teleported back to the 1970s, when pubs with this sort of warren of small rooms were far more common.

The Midland Inn is an unusuall looking pub with a single storey front, the pub is situated almost next door to the New Inn.
Once inside the pub had three small rooms, there was a small lounge to the left,a seperate bar to the right which was in darkness and a room to the rear which had all of its light turned out but lots of flashing lights and a disco/karioki playing at full volume.
I had a drink in the lounge which was very busy with a good mix of drinkers.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths Magnet which was not too bad for a keg bitter, the other beer was John Smiths smooth crap.
This was a decent livley pub,but was let down by the lack of any real ales on the bar.
