Cider Drinker left this review about Duke of York
Stopped in here after walking from Fishponds. Very friendly publican, Music from jukebox and the decor all gave it a welcoming feel. Only GK IPA on draft but Dave said it was of very good quality. Thatcher's gold on for us cider drinkers. A reasonable menu including 2 meals for £10. We had the Hunters chicken and cheese burger, came with home made onion rings and all was extremely tasty. This pub unfortunately has a bit of a reputation and you may have avoided it in the past. It would seem a new lease of life has been given to it and we would certainly recommend it. They also now offer accommodation too.

Alan Winfield left this review about Duke of York
The Duke of York is a large smart looking pub that is at the top end of Gloucester road.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar facing, the seating is normal tables and chairs to the front, there is a pool tables to the rear right, the front left side is down a couple of steps, the seating here is more comfortable bench type, the room is carpeted throughout.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of GK Yardbirds bitter which was a decent drink, the other beer was an house beer called The Rovers Bitter, due to the pub being quite close to Bristol Rovers ground.
There were TVs around the room all showing sky football score updates.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
