The Comet, Brumby, Scunthorpe

The Comet is a large roadhouse that feels like a community local. In the right-hand side is a public bar where two pool tables and a dartboard are found. At the front of the pub is a small seating area with windowed doors either side making it feel a bit like a small corridor in an old office building. The bar area is found up the left where a long counter runs up the right facing laminate standing room. At the rear is a carpeted seating area and at the very rear is another small windowed room that was being used as a storage area. Televisions are found throughout for airing live football and a sign advertises that this pub is Scunthorpe’s Celtic Supports Club. The service was polite, but the only draught options were standard keg and Birra Moretti so there was nothing here to draw me back, much like the rest of the town.
