Oggwyn Great left this review about Saddle Inn

Once multi-roomed pub now opened up into one large room with a seperate pool room . Formerly the Chester Bells it has had a decent re-furb and is all neat and tidy inside and out .
Usual keg taps and three handpulls with Deuchars , Saddle Inn Ale and a OKish Buttcombe Bitter .
Worringly quiet for a Friday night , most of the customers appeared to be of the Stripey shirt and Rose wine brigade

Soup Dragon left this review about Chester Bells

A half stone, half black timber and rendered detached corner pub.

The interior is open plan with a pool area and a nice wood bar. The decor has red, white and terquiosey coloured walls, with some wood panel and a moulded ceiling. There was Sky TV and the music, whilst charty, was at a decent level. Service was fine, but the place was very empty.

Beer; all tap stuff, with Theakston's Dark Smooth, which was Ok and Wells Bombardier being the only handpull.

The diappointing beer choice means that i wouldnt seek this place out again, however, if i stumble back in one day so be it. If real ale doesnt matter to you, there is nothing wrong with this place.
