Well Mike, I went in a few weeks ago and if you say The Bell is on the way up, I would hate to see it during a down.
Dark, gloomy, dirty, un-kempt garden, un-welcoming, poor range of real ales. I opted for a 6X ( the best of a poor bunch if I remember rightly) and it was not good.
I should have stuck to my local when in Bishops Lydeard and had a couple in the Bird in Hand.

The Bell has had its ups and downs but under the current stewardship of Rocky it's on an 'up'. The real ale is well-kept, recently being awarded 'Casque Marque' and the menu of traditional pub dishes is good, honest and very reasonably-priced. You're assured of a warm welcome from the effusive landlord.
