A friendly village pub, a freehouse, often overlooked as it's down a cul de sac. There is limited parking, and there is a pleasant walled garden at the back. Inside, there are two bars, a small public bar at the side and a larger saloon. In addition there is a restaurant area reached via knocked through walls from the saloon. There are timbers exposed, an ageing carpet and a convivial atmosphere. Food is better-then-average pub grub, reasonably priced. The landlord was very welcoming, the locals pleased to see our dogs. Two ales on, Exmoor Gold and Wadworth's 6X, in good condition. There was a third pump in the saloon which was clipped Yeovil, but this had just run out. Worth a visit for its ale.
