A fairly run-down estate pub on the outskirts of Glastonbury, well away from the tourists. It’s a freehouse, though sadly the promise that offers is unrequited. There is a car park at the side and some fairly shabby garden space behind. There are two main bars, in the traditional style – a public bar with a dart board on the right and a larger lounge bar on the left. Two ales on, both from Fine Tuned, Sunshine and Reggae and Perfect Pitch. The beer seemed OK but the atmosphere – the whole place reeked of smoke - made drinking it a chore. The regulars all seemed to be rather elderly, so the whole place felt like a budget care home, not at all enjoyable. I don’t think I’ll be back.
