Very well described by previous reviewers, below, this fine seafront building is welcoming, comfortable and pleasant. The small outside terrace at the front was crammed with mobility scooters, whose owners were obvious on entering. Apart from the vertically challenged, the majority of the ott the her customers were couples having cosy meals and workmen enjoying a sneaky pint on the firm’s time. Ales one were Ruddles, Abbott, Doombar, Exmoor Christmas Gold and Hobgoblin, nicely complemented by Sam’s Cider. Exactly what you’d expect from a seaside ‘Spoons.

This is an old Victorian seafront hotel, although not currently used as one by JDW. As noted below it's a rambling place inside with the bar in front of the Pier Street entrance. On a blustery and showery early Saturday afternoon the front patio overlooking the seafront was deserted but it was busy inside with what looked like holiday makers or day-trippers.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which had one available soon, the JDW Trio Of Doom with Ruddles doubled up, Butcombe Bitter, the International Banks's Sleeping Giant IPA, Hobgoblin, RCH Pitchfork and Great Western Tangerine. I went for the Tangerine which was not that clear and served as a short measure.
I wasn't overly impressed with this place but it may be better at a quieter time.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Reeds Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

Extended seafront establishment, previously the Queens Hotel, now a bit of a maze of partly opened-out rooms with varying ceiling heights. Standard furniture but surprisingly little decor (apart from the slightly unusual leatherwork inset into the wood-panelling found on certain walls. Fair selection of real ales from the two banks of five handpumps, with a couple of local ones including Quantock Ale (normally £2.19, although just £1.85 with a Monday meal offer, which initially appeared hazy but then largely cleared).
