Another Georgian coaching inn with front patio. As Quickie says, it is self-styled cafe, bar, bistro place, which did also become a 'pub' when I quizzed the cheerful bar chappie on that topic. Satisifed with his 'Yes', we sat. The interior has all been ripped out, so effectively it is a long room with eclectic furniture and ephemera. The fireplace at the end was the nicest feature, but as there were no twigs with lights on I coped happily with it - even the sofas. There was no TV and the music was soft. Service was fine and there was just one other couple in. Beer had usual taps with Peroni and Estrella, and there were 3 real ales on pull: Marston's 6.1 deep, Ringwood Razorback and a decent enough Wood's Shropshire Lad. Again, happy to pop in for one.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Grade II-listed inn located in a fine position with good views along the Severn gorge, recently given a comprehensive makeover and now describing itself as a 'Café, Bar & Bistro' (with accommodation available too). The multi-room interior has been re-done in pastel shades with expensive furnishings that certainly won't appeal to the traditionalist but the place was doing a good dining trade on a Saturday lunch-time. The front courtyard seating area is still a fine spot for a pint in the sunshine, though. Now has just three handpumps, with Pedigree New World, Brakspear's Oxford Gold and the local Wood's Shropshire Lad available.

Thanks to the reviewers below I managed to be directed to the White Hart when our first target of the Bird in Hand was surprisingly closed on a fine weather Friday lunchtime. In need of a decent place providing a decent lunchtime pub food menu and pint and for that The White Hart hit the spot.
All six ale pumps were in operation for our visit. These were Marstons Pedigree and Wychwood Rascal from the Marstons stable and then Hancocks HB and three from the Coach House brewing Co. (Cheshire Gold, Honey Pot and Summer Sizzler). The Hancocks and Honey Pot and Sizzler were tried and were all in good nick. And the food menu of burgers, dogs and sandwiches were just what we needed as well.
Can’t comment for how this pub cum B&B hotel functions on a cold winters night, but on a glorious summers day the outside courtyard with its view of the Severn was a great spot to refuel.
