The Quarry Bank Inn was lively for a Monday evening, which was explained by my visit being an hour or so before the weekly 21:30 quiz where the winning prize is a gallon of beer. The pub is in two sections with a long L-shaped front section and open plan seating in an extension at the rear that feels more like a dining area. The long central bar counter faces seating across the front windows as well as to the right and right rear. I counted seven hand pumps that were drawing, what must be, the full Hydes range. Standard and premium keg was also available. Televisions are found throughout, muted horse racing was airing whilst some background music from the 70s and 80s played. Live music is hosted here on Saturdays. This is a decent local, especially for fans of Hydes beers.

The Quarry Bank is in a fairly nice residential area and it looks like a nice pub from the outside.
Once inside the pub was very nice with an olde worlde feel to it with carpets and copper topped tables,this was just the sort of pub i would have wished to go to on a cold december day.
This pub is a Hydes tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Hydes bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Hydes mild and a seasonal beer from Hydes .
I thought this was a really nice pub.
