Attractive looking from outside, you enter to a flagged floor corridor which has a small side room on the right and leads eventually to an area with a pool table, wall mounted shields for Stoke City and Port Vale as well as a framed Kidsgrove Athletic shirt. Framed stills from the Ali v Sonny Liston fight are on another wall. Through a door to the left is the largest area containing the bar towards the front. There is a hatch from here to the previously mentioned corridor. Also having a stone flagged floor, seating is traditional at Britannia tables as well as reclaimed Singer versions. There is a small stage on the back wall. A TV was showing some music channel which was a minor irritation.
Three handpumps, Draught Bass, Falstaff Pearl Harbor and the other unclipped. Filled rolls available at £1.30. Quite a nice old fashioned type of pub seemingly with a regular clientele who all seemed to know each other.

Moderately friendly if basic local on shopping road. Although some traces of original layout and fittings, the decor is fairly naff 1990s and does nothing for the place. Beers ok - generally tolerable if you are stuck in central Kidsgrove.

The Queens Head is on Kidsgoves main shopping street and is in a row of shops.
This pub looked fairly decent from the outside and once inside the pub seemed to be unaltered with a corridor for drinking in and a bar off it there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Ossett Silver King and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Theakston best.
I did'nt find many pubs in Kidsgrove but this one was by far the best.
