The Bricklayers is set back from the passing street by a picnic table area that had a few old boys smoking away in it during a recent early Wednesday evening visit. The bar runs down the wall to the right of the entrance and seating runs in a J-shape down the left hand wall, then across the rear and then back halfway down the right hand wall in an area behind the bar. There are televisions for watching live sport and there was some 1980s beatbox playing in the background. It was very weird sitting in a locals boozer surrounded by an aged crowd of seasoned drinkers watching muted horse racing whilst some 1980s Bronx classics aired.
Alongside a standard keg range the bar supports two hand pumps that were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar and Wainwright. I found the service from the landlady to be very friendly, but this place is not for me so I’ll not be returning anytime soon.

A bit of of strange one this. Small looking from the outside but quite big once in. Iron Maiden, Dio, AC/DC, Guns n Roses and Culture Club t-shirted blokes sometimes frequent. Outside area for Harley Davison talk too.
