Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Ragleth Inn

Mostly a food-led pub (although I arrived in the mid-afternoon break so it was getting quieter for a while). Anyway, as you enter, the first thing you see is effectively the side of the compact central servery. However, the main part of the counter faces into the lounge on the left-hand side (with a dining room beyond), but the main dining areas off to the right were still busiest. Five real ales on handpump: HPA and Butty Bach from Wye Valley, Hobson's Best Bitter, Ludlow Gold (£4.20, and thankfully in good shape after a couple of ropey pints in Craven Arms) and - randomly - Morland Original.

I have rated this pub highly due to it's appealing exterior and the excellent beer quality. After looking at Will's photos, I noticed that three of the cask ales must be on permanently. These were Butty Bach, Hobson's Best and Ludlow Gold, their two guest beers on my visit were Hop and Stagger Pale Ale and Wye Valley HPA. I went for the Hop and Stagger, plus the Hobson's, both of which were outstanding. The barmaid explained that the cellar work and beer condition is at a premium quality as the locals would soon let them know otherwise. The pub also serves a high standard of food.

A very attractive building, with wisteria growing up the front. It feels quite small once through the door, with a central bar serving one room either side of the entrance, though it has been opened out and it is really now just one space. Two hand pumps face each way, with - unusually for a food oriented pub - four different real ales on. (See photos.) It was quite busy on the Sunday afternoon when I was (probably why it felt small!), and the smell of fried fish drove me out to enjoy my beer at one of the benches in front of the pub - luckily it was a fine and sunny day; there's also a beer garden to one side. My half of Hobson's Best was in very good condition.
